Hi Matt It can be frustrating at first, especially when you feel like you have little basis for saying that one print is better than another. Where are you located? The best thing would be to find someone local with whom to share techniques, war stories, etc. Having used both the Roark curves and Roy Harrington's QuadToneRip, I can definitely recommend QTR as a much easier and more reliable method (IMO). Having said that, the most important thing you can do to achieve good results is to document your method, and print out a step wedge (if you haven't done so already). Seeing your prints, in the absence of this documentation, will be like shooting in the dark- unlikely to be productive.
