There are still the Piezography inks. They cost more, but they are a dedicated carbon B&W ink with various toning options, and what look like turn-key profiles.

I would hate for MIS to go unreliable especially since I just figured out how to do all of this stuff with Paul's inks. Fingers crossed and hoping for the best!
