Thanks Elliot. I put a lot of time into the 1430 before giving up and selling it. I don't think that I did anything wrong along the way. I followed the instructions for each set explicitly. Having tried to resuscitate an old 2400 recently, I have made most of the possible mistakes already.
The 1430 carts in Australia use a different chip to the US ones. I did rechip a set of Cone ones along the way.
I would love to know how to get a 1430 working as I really want a printer that I can hibernate or use for different ink sets. The 3880 is great but hibernating or swapping burns a lot of dollars each time.
