Re: 3880 cartridges

I have had the Cone cartridges in my two 3880's since last Nov. I have never had a problem with pulling the carts every other week for agitation. They have never leaked.and have always reset. I have never had a clog. Also one real benefit is the chips will reset a fully discharged Epson chip. I think some others require 10% remaining. Don't know that for sure but that is what I have heard. I have come by empty cartridges from a local business and they run them until indicated empty, and they all reset. I also use his cartridges in my other color dedicated 3880 with his color pro inks. I don't pull them for agitation as often as the color printer is used less often.and the ink is more stable. 2-3 times a week. The B/W printer runs every day but not a high volume. I also have never had a reset chip fail. I do keep a replacement set of reset chips on hand. You can purchase those separately. The reset chips are also easy to switch between carts.Handy for experimentation I have 23 Cone carts with no failures
I have not tried any other carts and don't plan to.
I am also not a Jon Cone fan.... He just has good quality cartridges and reset chips. I got that from a pro printer aquaintence.
I just hope I didn't jinx myself by writing this....... I was never superstitious until I bought my first printer
All the best
Kelly
