Paul, Check out Columbia College. They used to be further north, but now I understand they're kitty corner from the Art Institute and associated with it. I took some photo classes there a while back and what impressed me is that all instructors are expected to have real jobs outside the academic field. They're pros, and for me that gave them some credibility. I'm not suggesting you take a course! But it'd be an interesting place to visit. There's probably a student gallery. An alternative kind of place, it has a certain "edge".
