Digital BW, The Print

Sad news.

He did join some mailing lists again two years ago and I had to explain 
much younger members there what his contribution had been in the past. 
Some of that can still be found in the archives of the Leben list 
(Spinics) going back to 1998 (about the time I joined then) but he 
started writing on the subject even earlier which can not be traced 
back. The 12 inks systems on today's wide formats were already 
discussed, the first custom quad ink sets already used. A nice guy to 
discuss B&W printing with. It should not end with nostalgia, he looked 
forward then and that was probably the best lesson learned.
