This is reminding me of the conversation of a month or so ago regarding automatic vibration of ink to avoid settling. At the time, I'd sent a link to a tiny vibrating motor of the type used in cellphones. We've also heard of copper wires inserted into the cart as a biocide, and covering the cart itself with black plastic to avoid sunlight. Perhaps all these can be wrapped up into a new product -- a sleeve that slipped onto the end clear/funnel carts, containing a vibration motor, a UV LED, a copper wire to be inserted into the air hole, a microcontroller with a scheduler, and a small battery to power it all, all enclosed in an opaque shell. While we're at it, it might as well monitor ink levels, temperature, and humidity...
