Digital BW, The Print

Has anyone ever had a problem with NEF files turning blue/cyan and/or turning part of the image black and the other part blue/cyan?

The presentation of the problem is this:
1- When a given folder is opened in CS4 Bridge the images look fine.
2- After the files are all displayed then the images take on a cyan/blue cast all over or one part of the image, ie the lower half, will go black and the upper half then takes on the cast.

Considerations:
1- Not all of the NEF files do this and are displayed perfectly fine.
2- This did not occur for some time after I downloaded the images off of the card.  And, for those who ask, I did not make a backup of the images. ME BAD!
3- This issue occurs in the display of images in other software, ie Irfanview, also.
4- These are the only RAW files that the anomaly occurs with. CR2 and MRW files are just fine.
5- The camera is a Nikon E8800 and it does have the most recent firmware build installed.

I found nothing on the Nikon site to even remotely address this issue. Any thoughts and ideas are appreciated.
