Digital BW, The Print

I looked at the LFP Remote Panel in more detail. Here is what I found:

Even when I use QTR to drive only K, LK, LLK, LC, and LM inks, the LFP records for those print jobs show that C and M were used in the 0.01 to 0.03 ml per letter sized page. In fact, when I print with QTR using just a single ink channel, all other inks are showing usage in the range I show above. So it is entirely possible that these inks are being fired away from the print surface, onto the waste pads. For what purpose? Keeping the nozzles clean?
