Poly61 service manual anyone?

Poly61 service manual anyone?

2013-04-28 by fx_maletras

Hi people

My poly 61 has had it. Battery leaked. Programmer board not responding. I will change the batt but I am also keen to understand the whole synth better so i can continue to fix it in the future, and perhaps mod it.This is an opportunity.
Question is: how / where can I get a good resolution PDF copy of the PDF service manual? The PDF exists on the web but very low quality, not "quite" sufficient for what i want to do. This group also has a copy but incomplete and low quality.
Any ideas?

Hi maletras,

In the same boat here...

Did you manage to find one?
I've seen some for sale on eBay, which are supposedly good photocopies, but I'm not sure how good.

Actually, I'm not even sure how good the originals were.
(which could explain why the PDF we can find now are not so great).

Anyone here has a good very readable copy??
Or can answer as to if the original one has good quality?

Thanks!
-SOS

Hi SOS

I went to the korg service site and asked for the original manual, which they were kind enough to provide by email a couple of days later. This PDF is good quality and you can discern all components values. Hope this helps.

Hi,
I don't know if others can see what you posted but I can't.
There's nothing...
:-(

I went on Korg's website and couldn't find one, so I clicked on the "Contact Us" link and sent them an email requesting it (and the PolySix's).

Still haven't heard from them...

I was thinking of uploading it here, in the FILES section once I receive it, but if you wanna go ahead and do that before me, you are more than welcome to!

I have also ordered high quality reproduction of the Polysix ones, including the schematics on 11x17 sheets! If anything is not clear on the PDF, I can check on my paper version once I get them to clarify stuff.

If one of you with proper scans of the P61 manual would upload it here that would be brilliant, Ive got a P61 with a bad voice (definetly on the voice board, just a high pitch, CV and clocks from digital is ok, but when connected the voice resets the clocks so they no longer send)
but the low res manual is a pain to read and traces almost invisible.
