Fruity Loops as a Sampler/Recorder?

Fruity Loops as a Sampler/Recorder?

2004-03-05 by Bowser0001

Hello, first post for me. I just bought the DTXpress III, but it
isn't in yet so i'm just fooling around with the II for now. I'm
curious if anybody here knows any way i could record drum tracks in
fruity loops for playback, or if i could just use fruity loops as a
sampler. I'd rather not buy a completely separate sampler software
just for the job, and i love recording myself.

Right now i'm using Cakewalk Home Studio 2002 to record, but all i
know how to trigger is boring old General MIDI. As you all know that
is a limited means of entertainment. I know i can trigger the
DTXpress brain to play good sounds, but I would like to trigger the
computer to play them, as i could have actual samples of whatever i
want, (.wav files in a perfect world.) Latency issues for me right
now aren't a problem. Ok thanks all, Happy drumming, and if you are
interested in hearing some good music, check out
http://www.aphonic.com/ and you may be
happy folks. Peace!
