Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Everyone,

In order to keep us from becoming an adjunct to ebay, maybe we should 
restrict announcements of merchantise for sale to offers directed 
specifically to group members by group members. The seller can add 
that after a certain amount of time, the item will go to ebay, but 
let's not just turn into an ebay bulletin board.

i hear u ed, he also posted in my hart group. although i'm not 
particularly against i dont particularly like it either. i suppose 
i'll allow it in moderation, have to make sure it doesnt get out of 
hand though. would hate that.

It might be nice to have a "Classifieds.. Wanted/For sale" area for the
members here to use. It could be for members use only and we could
discourage the posts that are "Now showing on Ebay" messeges, unless it was
a response to specific members request. If any members started to abuse the
area, (ie. not for commercial use - for members only private sales), we
could warn, and if they continue we can just switch them back to having
thier posts being moderatored, like new members are. Unforncunately, I don't
see way to add this catagory to the group web site.

I would imagine it would be easy for Vern to add a section to dtxpression
site for Classifieds the way that www.vdrums.com has a Classifieds section,
but that would be up to you Vern.
