Ed/Vern: I don't know if you noticed, Yahoo is changing somethings on Aug. 7, 2003. All the attachments to past/future post are being deleted forever. (From all yahoo groups!) I haven't gone through all the post here from the beginning, so I don't know the real impact, but come Thursday, it's all gone. The original posts to this group will stay, just any attachments will be gone forever. OGD

Most everything of conseequence has found its way to the files and links, although I recall someone posting about the battery change procedure. I don't remember if it had attached photos, but I do remember suggesting the material should be uploaded to the fles. Ed

One of them shows the battery inside the DtxpressII and when viewed at full size, it clearly shows the battery type. You know, this is one area where Vern's DTXpressions site can be a major resource for this group: An area to upload pictures/tutorials etc. Yahoo has pretty limited storage space and as their recent policy change shows, can decide to delete/limit the storage further at any time. If Vern was agreeable, I think setting up an area that's more "permanent" for storing pictures and files (which can be linked to from the Yahoo site) would be a good idea. Just a thought... Matt

I agree. I would be happy to host some pictures, and I could place them as HI-RES rather than the pitiful 400x266 or whatever yahoo limits the resolution to. As an example, I host this site with some *very* hires pictures of vintage SBC computers here: http://www.kim-1.com/gallery/ or here for a *really* hi-res shot! :) http://www.kim-1.com/gallery/pics/kim-1-comp.jpg :) Vern PS: Look at the tag at the bottom of the posts now. I corrected all the links from "onelist" to "yahoogroups" and I added a link to an "alternate" DTXrpress site of http://www.dtxpressions.com. :) -- Vern Graner CNE/CNA/SSE | "If the network is down, then you're Senior Systems Engineer | obviously incompetent so why are we Texas Information Services | paying you? Of course, if the network vern@... www.txis.com | is up, then we obviously don't need Cell 507-7851 Desk 328-8947 | you, so why are we paying you?" VLG Matt Pobursky said:
