Hit pad to start song?

Hit pad to start song?

2003-02-01 by Nick Carroll <njcarroll56@yahoo.com.au>

Hi, guys. I'm new to this group and wonder if anyone can explain how
I can set a song going by hitting a pad? I know it can be done, but
can't find explicit instructions on how to program a pad that way in
the owner's manual basic guide or reference guide. It's a hassle to
have to push a button manually while you're playing.

Hey Nick! If you have a dtxpressII, then the instructions can be
found on pages 32 and 44. However, if you don't, its pretty easy to
explain. I assume its the same procedure with the dtxpressI. First
of all, there are two types of songs, the main song, which you play
by pressing the play/stop button, and the pad songs, which can be
played by hitting the pads. However, it is possible to assign a
main song to a pad. The menu you are going to be looking for is
located in the drum voice edit mode. It is the function menu and
you will know which one it is because it will say /KIT
IN=tom//func=normal/ Here is where you can select what pad you want
to change and what function you want it to control. For example,
after tell the module you want to be in the tom pad, you can move
your cursor to /func=normal/ and select "pad song" or "play/stop"
I'm assuming you want to select "play/stop" because that controls
the modules main songs. (main songs are the songs programmed into
the module and require you to press the play/stop button.) Ok thats
how you select what pad you want to be "play/stop" and I guess you
just go into the music menu and use the pad as the play and stop
button. (The menu after this function menu has more options
for "pad songs, not "main songs.") Hope that helps!!

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
