I am not sure what program you are looking for, but try here:
http://www.dtxpressions.com/

You should find a program there that will allow you to upload other
user's kits.

If you don't have a midi cable you need a "null modem" cable and a
serial port on your computer. I have a null modem cable from Lindy.

The dEXTD program was written by one of the members here several years ago. It went through several beta's for which several folks here tested it and come up with suggestion for improvement. I think I still have a copy of one of the beta's. The program was windows based that allowed you to save your kits and in real time adjust most of the settings for a drum kit.

Here is what is in the readme.txt file that came with the program:
========================================================================
dEXTD - Version 1.1.1b

This file contains important information so please read it before usinig this program.

This is Version 1.0B, a beta release of dEXTD - a programs to remotely edit drum kits for the Yamaha DTXpress II electronic drums. So far this program has had very little testing and so if you choose to use it you accepting your status as a guinea pig. I will be fixing bugs as I find them so if you identify a bug please email the details to me at:

softhouse @...

Also, if you have any suggestions for extensions or impreovements let me know and I will do what I reasonably can to accommodate them.

This program is provided as freeware and without warranty of any kind from me or anyone else. You use it at your own risk. While I can't see it damaging your DTXpress II hardware it can damage your data so back up your valuable kits before using this program.

Also, PLEASE DO NOT PASS THIS PROGRAM ON TO ANYONE ELSE! I am happy to let anyone test it who is willing but while it is in the beta stage I want to keep a list of who has a copy so that I can send them updates as they are developed. If someone asks you for a copy please get them to email me. I don't want copies of bug ridden beta releases being circulated. For a version history see the program help file.

Many thanks,

If you just want to load kits to your DTXpress, look for the DTXchange
program under "downloads" on the DTXpressions web site
http://www.dtxpressions.com/

Hi Guys,

My first time on this list in about 3 years. My old username expired
so I had to create a new one. I'm afraid I haven't done anything with
DTXEd since the original release but if anyone wants a copy I'll upload
it to the files section here. I didn't realise it wasn't there
already - my apologies

Cheers,
Peter
