Ok Guys... I've downloaded the dtexchange software... I've downloaded a few kits... Now I want to get them from the computer to the dtxpressII brain... My computer has a 15 pin Midi port... Can you tell me what kind of cables and/or adaptors I'm going to need... I'd love to be able to tell the guy at my local electronics store exactly what I need... Once again, I appreciate all your help... Dennis....

Most PC hardware suppliers would have such a thing... However, some of these joystick/MIDI connectors don't always handle MIDI that well. Some can not cope with sysex messages - it is very MIDI intensive and as a result tends to over-whelm these devices (they normally have something to do with the soundcard). You might be better off getting a dedicated MIDI interface to handle the MIDI side of things. There's plenty to choose from, simple 1 in, 1 out units, some other 2 ins, and 2 or 4 outs. Some use USB to connect, some use the serial connection. Depends on your wallet... ----- Original Message -----
