Yamaha Update

2004-08-20 by oldguydrummer

To All:

Just got an update from Yamaha. Apparently the Dtxtreme IIS are
selling better than what was anticipated. If you remember my earlier
post back in April, they said that if the kits were flying out the
door then most of the individual components would be used to make up
the basic kits first and once the demand for the kits subsided then
more individual components would be available.

Some of you may have notice at Dtxperience site the project time of
availability has gone from August 12 to September 20. This is due to
the overwhelming demand for the kits. Based on history I wouldn't
anticipate the individual pads being available until at least October
at the earliest, especially the Cymbal pads.

To anyone interested in building their DTX2S from parts, I purchased a kit but am only using about half of it since I am integrating it into my acoustic kit. Therefore I will probably put all 3 cymbal pads and hardware on ebay. If anyone has a preliminary interest, drop me an email to vick@...

We've had the TP120 pads as well as the PCY130S and PCY150S cymbals
in stock for a few MONTHS now. We're still waiting on the RHH130 as
well as the PCY130. I think we saw a few PCY130 and TP100. Anyway,
it is possible to get some of these things.
