Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Hey you guys,

My kickpad is really starting to wear,,anybody got a good solution for
that. I now use tape, but I don't think that's gonna last. Has anyone
complained to Yamaha about this problem?

Known issue, and yes Yamaha know about it. They advise using a 
patch, which will not invalidate your warranty. I have a shopped-up 
mousepad on mine. Also, you should NOT use felt beaters as they are 
extremely abrasive.
