Have you considered just placing the kick drum shell in front of your trigger? If it's just for looks, and you're happy with the feel of your existing electronic kick pedal, this would allow the flexability of using the big kick in front of your kit for "looks" when the venue/stage permits, but using just the electronic kick tower when you dont have the room of time to move the big kick...
