Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

I use velcro and wrap it around the wires so that the wires are on 
the unshown side of the tubing...as in on the drummers side. Keep the 
wires hidden and makes the kit look ver nice. As for your base drum 
idea, I do like it but with rubber pads i think it may look odd, but 
then again i have never seen that set-up with my own eyes so I 
wouldn't worry about. Don't let what I think decide for you, its your 
choice.
