rdamon@... said: > Dan, > You could always download a picture of the kit and the manuals and print > them out In days of yore...., when I was but a broke musician (as opposed to now as a broke bloke, Married with children and all that!), I used to go to place like Guitar Center and get all depressed looking at all the neat new toys I could never afford to buy. So, I came up with a neat little trick that might be helpful for those of you who (like me!) don't get to particiapte in the "ugrade" frenzy the new kits are spawning... :) Go down to your local music store and find the big rack where they keep all the brochures for gear. The glossy, glitzy advertizing flyers and spec sheets are usually all in a big cabinet, arranged for easy access. Go through and get the brochure for every piece of equipment (and software) that YOU ALREADY OWN. If you can't find them there, then go to your trusty computer, hit GOOGLE, and type in the model #'s and the keyword "PDF" or "REVIEW". This will usually get you links to manuals or reviews of the hardware. Take these home and read through them and see if you don't get excited about what you *already* have and maybe explore some of the things you might have forgotten about or were meaning to try. Don't want to sound too preachy here, but the "count your blessings" approach can ward off the "gee I wish" blues... ;) Vern PS: I think I'll head to GC and take a dose of my own medicine... :( -- Vern Graner CNE/CNA/SSE | "If the network is down, then you're Senior Systems Engineer | obviously incompetent so why are we Texas Information Services | paying you?
