Jeffrey,

To use the Pintech HH controller with the Yamaha module, you need an 
adapter that changes its polarity (at the very least), since the 
Pintech out of the box is matched to Roland standards. Contact 
Drumbalya.com by phone or email and ask them about which adapter to 
get; they sell a wide range of them.

But if your problem is a splash that comes too easily, you need to 
adjust the HH offset parameter; while you're at it, check the HH 
sensitivity setting, too. Look them up in the index.
