I play both electric and acoustic drums. I find the major difference 
being, as Stephanie mentioned, the stick response to the heads. 
You'll also find that it takes a wider range of motion to play an 
acoustic set because they take up so much more real estate.
Dynamic, too, can be quite different between the two.

One more thing: Cymbal strikes are quite different, in feeling and 
response.

If you plan to switch to acoustics, you  may want to also play with 
your hihat on a level plane rather than a severe tilt.
