I think it also reflected the general frustration by the vdrum members that
nothing new and innovative has come out of Roland at the high end to replace
the TD-10w/twd1 in 6 years (the phantom TD-12). Had Yamaha come to market at
Summer NAMM with a replacement high-end module with more bells and whistle,
some (many) Roland  owners would have jump ship and got on the Yamaha band
wagon.

Clearly sampling, more realistic hi-hat, greater storage capacity and better
computer interface built-into a module is long overdue.
