Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

I just joined a couple days ago as a result of buying my 14 year old son a
used DTXpress (I, not II) . He has been taking drum lessons for a couple
years and his last drum was a Roland RMP-1, a single V Drum. This is what
he had at home, his school had acoustic drums. He is a bit overwhelmed by
what the DTX can do. I can't seem to get him off the drum to do anything
around the house :) . I'm sure we will have some more serious questions but
we don't want to be locked out with the changes in list management. A few
easy questions: Is there a FAQ? Are past messages searchable? (Hate to
waste everyone's time going over well worn issues.) And does anyone know if
the Roland RMP-1 can be hooked into the DTX system? My son thought of using
it as a snare on its own stand.
