For one thing, we can post a recurring message directed explicitly at the sidewalk traffic, warning them of impending restricted membership and urging them to join or to lose access to the messages. If, after a certain period of time, we don't notice a surge in membership, the casual visitors will not seem too significant. I think that we should always keep our eyes out for inviting people to join this group. Members should feel free to recommend it to others or to ask the moderators to send out invitations to people who have the requisite interests. Ed
