Rolf and everybody,

I'm happy to do this job. I spend a lot of time within hailing 
distance of a computer, and I'm enormously fond of this group. But I 
humbly submit that the moderator role should be at least a 
triumvirate. Since it doesn't involve forcing anyone into battle or 
legislating either taxes or morality (beyond deleting spam), I humbly 
submit that we take care of the business right here and now. To my 
mind, if no one is uncomfortable with me sweeping up after hours or 
putting a broom in other peoples' hands, Vern and Old Guy have scads 
of valuable information, gumption, and good will to offer. Are you 
two available? I have no doubt that other people would the job aa 
well as we could (Jade, I'm assuming that work shifts would get in 
the way; Stewart, you have the good fortune of being on holiday at 
the moment; Stephen, UNH, Roger, et al.) We, however, have the 
apparent advantage of being here a lot. I think that between the 
three of us, we could keep the site running smoothly so that we can 
eliminate the extraneous hitches and start concentrating on the 
group's common interest. 

What do you say, everyone? Vern, OGD, and me for the time being?
