> It's amazing to me how many of us have things in common! > I played drums from age 10-22, got married, sold my acoustics set. I still have a cassette tape of a recording of 7-8 songs I did with a group of other kids when I was 11 years old. Went through a second childhood between 30-33, bought two sets (first one used, second one new), started to get really bad ringing in my ears and gave them up and sold them. In my mid forties, going through a third childhood, was going to takeup skydiving, set aside money and everything for it to....but....started to get bad pain in neck, shoulder, tricep in left arm and fingers in left hand. Went to the doctor,he told me I had two disc in the back of my neck that were pressing against my spinal cord. I was out of work for 2-1/2 months from the pre/post surgerical stuff. Doctor said, no skydiving, period, get over, take up some with less stress on your neck. During the time I was at home on pain killers, in a neck brace, I got bored and started surfing the net for drums. Ran across the e-drums and bingo I was hooked and determined to get back into drumming, low volume (solved ear ringing issues), low stress on the neck, perfect. I still have numbness in the fingers of the left hand and knuckle joint problems, but I here to stay in edrums, even if I have to design and elastic band to hold the stick to my hand. I tried to play from 10pm-11;30pm every night and then it's off to a 30 minute hot shower for loosening up all these old bones before bed. > OldGuyDrummer ************************************************************************** The information transmitted herewith is sensitive information intended only for use to the individual or entity to which it is addressed.
