When I made my final descision last year to buy the DtxpressII, I
looked at the what else I was going to add to it in the months following my
initial purchase. After all these years, I (and my wife) know that I also
add and add and add and add.......... After pricing out the extra cymbals
and pads and mounting hardware, extra tubes, second interface/module, it
just made more sense to buy a second kit. I took an online ad to Guitar
Center and they price matched and included (2)kick pedals/throne/(2)TRS
cables/Sticks for free. When you consider $100+ per cymbal/mount and $100+
per pad/mount times four or five and then add in a couple of hundred for a
Roland TMC-6+mount plus additional tubes, you are fast approaching the price
of a second kit. Had I simply wanted to add one or two extra cymbals then my
decision would have been different. The more you buy at your initial
purchase the better deal you are going to get.
