I am probably the last one to ever notice this ...
but on the DTXPress I & II the kick tower has a ridge that causes it to be
challenging to fit a kick pedal over.
I purchased a new Tama Iron Cobra Jr. to replace my
worn out pedal. I was sad to find out that the "hoop grip" would not it over the
ridge on the kick tower frame. The ridge is the same on the newer VII
Express.
I ended up with a Yamaha pedal (not sure of the
model) ... it was considerably more pricey than the Tama pedal. I hope that it
makes me a double/triple king now ... 8~)
