Have you experimented with layering, and with filter cutoff (Fc) 
settings? You should. I have some very satisfactory sounds with 
MapleXX toms layered with Room1 toms. The Maple gives a warmth and 
resonance, while the Room toms add just the right touch of "bite" in 
the attack. My kick, snare, hats and (some) cymbals are also layered.
