Long time no see. You have to layer from the external device. The 
MidKITI, for example, will accept up to four layers--three 
simulataneous and four alternating. I don't know about the PM-16, 
but a wild guess is that it doesn't, since Roland doesn't offer that 
feature on many, if not all, of its modules.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
