Hey, Lee. I felt I had to add my comments to the others who have replied to your inquiry. I think it's really important to get a professional drum teacher to start you off. I went back to my original teacher after 20 years because I couldn't work out why I found it impossible to pick up speed around the kit, and why my wrists hurt so much. It turned out I was holding the sticks the wrong way. I had completely forgotten the correct technique. And now that I've got it, it's made playing (and practising) a lot easier and more fruitful. --- In DTXpress@yahoogroups.com, "lee_tiso" <lee_t@h...> wrote: > i have just recieved my DTXpress II . i have never played the drums > before but have always wanted to learn. has anyone any suggestions? > BOOKS?
