Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

I am having LOTS of trouble getting my HH to deliver that "shoop" 
sound and the closed HH sound.  If I do a multiple lick fast between 
the snare and HH,The HH delivers only a few of the notes, and the 
rest are muted, if I whack at the rim of the HH to get the "shoop" 
sound (partially open then closed HH sound), I get a dead pad...is 
my HH pad dying?  Anyway, here are the settings I have for my HH (It 
is 2 layered)...perhaps someone could help me with the settings...I 
want HH response EVERYTIME I hit the pad-whether partially opened or
closed...ANY HELP will be immensely appreciated.  Here are 
settings:                   V2 settings:

off function are off,disable and normal, respectively for V1 and V2 

What does "Copy To" mean and do?...Thanks for letting me vent my
