It is difficult to know if your MIDI cable is faulty or if the drivers aren't loaded correctly without something else to check it on. I bought a cheap USB-MIDI interface from EvilBay and it works fine (my laptop doesn't have MIDI). I suggest you just use the MIDI monitor software and try to get some data out of the DTXpress when hitting pads first. Then use DTXchange. I have listed my DTXpress settings below: UT MIDI RECEIVE 10PC=on 10=on PC=on SySEx=on UT MIDI PC TABLE No=1 kit 40 UT MIDI SETUP MIDI Mode=native DevNo=Alloc L=on Merge Output=off DumpInterval=100 Send HH Ctrl=on Host Thru Port=1 Obviously some of those will not matter but it should give you a starting point. Assuming you try these settings and still cannot get it to work with the connectors either way round I would start to suspect the computer/drivers/cable. Do you have a second computer you could try? Keith.
