They would play on inputs 1-8 on a DTXpress module but only as mono pads, not with rim switch capability. Many people actually replaced the mylar with mesh to make them quieter. Yamaha at one time intended to get into the woven-head market, even to the point of patenting their own perforated design, but Roland turned out to have too much of a stranglehold on it. Ed Morin at Drumbalaya seems to have had the last big batch of these pads a while back. I think that he got them directly from Yamaha (right, Ed?). A year or two ago, someone selling a DTXI1 kit or components would turn up on ebay and elsewhere, but the stream seems to have largely run dry. Ed
