I've got an MCF42, and I love it.  It's anonymous and gentle, until you 
start messing with the distortion -- as things should be in my book.  
It has this 8-pole mono-only feature that sounds so, so good...  I 
highly recommend it.

Waldorf's filters sound good to me too.  I only have the Miniworks 
4-pole... but I like it.  It's a tad quirky.
