what it appears to be (sent to synthmodules this morning).

what it appears to be (sent to synthmodules this morning).

sorry for the cross-post, guys. I have some doubt that Brice will
allow this message to be posted on his site....

Brice,

I know that you have taken the time to censure at least three negative
comments posted by members of this list, but you won't take a moment
to simply keep contact with those who have not gotten their promised
PSIMs?

This is how you intend to deal with this situation? Can you not face
our disapointment and anger any longer?

What is a shock to me is that you cannot see that your lack of
communication is the core of our anger.

So it seems that this group has devolved to complaining about another
group. IS anything going on here? Id love to hear of some progress...
I don't mean to complain but it just started all gangbusters and now
it has trickled to a thin ribbon of dissent toward Brice who I would
have given up on by this point and exacted my pound of flesh in some
manner, but that's just me. I hope that someone starts to speak up for
this group soon

i suspect that even though there's snow on the mountain right now, it
doesn't necessarily mean that the magma has stopped moving.

...and since any gadgets that have been discussed (so far) in this
forum will be the result of purely volunteer effort, and a very
considerable effort at that, i feel obliged to patience. Especially
because i lack the time, skill and wherewithal to DIY a design of this
nature into existence anyway.
(Although that Coridium chip from ArmExpress offers a REALLY luxurious
prototyping kit.... but the prospect of re-writing the
software....ARRRRGH!)
oh well.... plenty of MG-1's on the bench to de-tar in the meantime...
dumm de dumm dummm dummmm, scrub scrub scrub....

Well, the display design and PCB are complete and available. John
Loffink has PCBs and LCD microcontrollers for sale. The LCD module
even has a stand-alone mode for MIDI data display in hex.

Schematics are mostly complete and the challenge now is to start
the design of the main PCB. Progress is being made, although somewhat
slow.

See the photo section for some photos of the display. I have a page
with some progress of my module at
http://modularsynthesis.com/cvs/cvs.htm

I've even converted my code base for the new hardware features.
This base includes:

1. hardware initialization
2. interrupt midi in and out drivers
3. 1 mS timer interrupts support
4. analog input and output support
5. four sample averaged analog input support (polled and interrupt)
6. rising edge detect support (requires pulse width > 1 mS)
7. rising edge interrupt support
8. 2x16 lcd hex and voltage display support
9. I2C control of voltage source selection for offset / inputs
