I wouldn't assume that MOTM format PCBs must be 4-5 inches in depth. A majority of the Blacet and CGS conversions to MOTM format won't fit in that depth, and users have designed their cabinets to accommodate depths to 8 inches or so (MiniWave, Time Machine, etc.).
