Boss VF-1 Effect Processor

Can anyone specify which analog expression pedals are known to work with the BOSS SE-70 and BOSS VF-1?

I tried an Ernie Ball VP JR 25k volume pedal with a TRS cable, and with the cable tip/sleeve reversed, and it wouldn't sweep at all.

Hoping to find a modification for that pedal that will allow it to work, or some suggestions for high quality expressions that work well with these BOSS half rack units.

Hey man,
  The Roland EV-5 and the Mission Engineering pedals both work fine with it.  I also have a Moog EP-2, but haven't tried plugging it into the VF-1 yet.  Toneczar and a couple others out there mod EB volume pedals into expression pedals, although I don't recall the other builders who modify them at the moment.
