New VF-1 Patch Editor for Windows! :-) "Beta" testers wanted

New VF-1 Patch Editor for Windows! :-) "Beta" testers wanted

2010-08-15 by Ryan

Hey gang,

I'm wrapping up development of a VF-1 patch editor for Windows that I've been developing in my spare time for many months here. Ultimately I'll be posting it to the Files section so all can have access to it, but before I do that I want to enlist the help of a few eager beta testers to give it a spin first.

I'd mostly be wanting to hear of any bugs or issues that arise from extended testing or use on different system. I would also consider entertaining suggestions for changes or improvements should you have any...

It's been developed in VC++ for Windows on XP. My VF-1's firmware is 1.12, and I'm not sure if previous or later versions have any MIDI implementation differences that will break anything...

If you're keen to get your hands on an editor that makes it a breeze to use the VF-1 to its fullest, by eliminating the tedious button-clicking and knob-turning, give me a shout!

(BTW, the GUI's kinda nifty-looking too! :-) )

Thanks!

Ryan

Hi Ryan,
I'd be happy to give it a try. I already do a lot of programming for my Gordius controller on my PC, so a VF-1 editor would certainly make things much more convenient. My email is bryan_tyler@... if you have a link or file to send. I'm currently using 1.13.
Thanks,

Thanks for the interest, guys!

For each of you, your e-mail address was kept hidden from me, so I sent you an e-mail through the group which in turn gives you mine. Once you reply to me, I'll have your addresses and I'll send you the program. :-)

Sorachai,

I've tried to send it to you twice but I keep getting Delivery Notification failure messages. What the hell? Uh... do you have another account I can try?

Ryan –

I’m totally stoked to get this – I searched forever to try and find one – I
use 2 VF-1’s in my rig and in my p.a. and would love to have a pc based
controller! If it’s ready – I’d love a copy of it as well – I’d even send a
few bucks via paypal to say thanks!

If you’d like me to try the beta – email me at dukemcrae @ yahoo . com

Cheers,

Craig

Hello Ryan:
I'm interested in that editor. I have a VF-1 for many years and the
first Sounddiver adaptation for this device is mine. Very interested in
your software (sorry: very poor english).
