Basically if you can not tell the diffrence between DSP and analog then go
ahead an get those units....
Personally, I would not change my A6 for ANY synth today in the market....

Is It Really Worth $3K (US)

Hi all,

Ok, I've heard a lot about the A6 and have played with it in my local
muziq shop. But, from this, I can't tell if it's really (and I mean
really really) worth $3K (US)! Now, for around $3K, I can get a
Virus b AND a Waldorf Q! (For $5K I can throw in a Supernova II.)
Can one A6 compete with both of these running simultaneously? Is
this a fair way to look at it?

That's just it. Without having all of them to a/b how do I know?
Ages ago I had a couple of analogs, but I certainly don't remember
how phatt their sounds was. The Vb, Q, and SnII seem to have a lot
more features than the A6, not to mention more poly. They all sound
really great at the store too! Now, using one synth for what I do
would be a real pain. So, would you say that the A6 shouldn't be
your only synth? If not, what's a good partner for it?

For a complementary sound, you might try something that can sound very
digital, like Kawai K5000, Yamaha FS1R, Waldorf MIcrowave XT.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
