Thank you very much for your response Dr.K. Yes the 
global>midi>cc.rx is turned on. My A6 will send the data to my 
external sequencer but will not respond to it when received back. I 
can record knob movements such as volume,pan and filter cutoff etc. 
and the the A6 responds to these without a problem. But for some 
reason it will not respond to the ribbon controller data. I have 
verified that my external sequencer is definately recording the 
data. I'm using an Akai MPC 4000 and I am sure it is not a sequencer 
problem. I have tried the same in Sonar4 with the same results.
