Hi there,

since Ion and Micron basically dont need that much time anymore at Alesis I
figured they might have some time again to look into an A6 OS update. I
decided to inform about it and got a pretty promissing reply, see below for
the emails. So lets get those wishlists started!

Hello Ruud,

Ive talked with the design engineers regarding the A6, and while the A6 OS
is currently not in development, they will address any major bugs with the
current OS if any are discovered. If in the meantime, you have any feature
requests, dont hesitate to email support with them, as we can forward any
requests to the engineers. If we get enough, they might consider a new
version.

Thank you,

Daniel Gill

Hi there at Alesis,

Being an A6 owner for over a year now I'm beginning to find my way around
the unit (as it has quite a steep learning curve, especially when you only
use it in hobby time ;-)).

So one of the things I noticed is that there's quite some space left in the
programming of the machine for future feature enhancements through software
updates. And I know from user communities that there in fact are quite a few
things on OS update wishlists. So I am wondering wether there is any chance
of an OS update being done for the A6, especially when this is an expensive
unit and owners have put in a lot of money to own state of the art, that's
quite a commitment from the owners' perspective so I hope the same
commitment to the product A6 and its owners exists at Alesis, regardless of
who owns the company now.

I hope to hear from you, thanx in advance,

Hi Ruud,

That 'is' a very promising response! I have the list and it should be
complete. Let me clean it up and post it to the A6 list to see if
anyone has any changes. Then you can send it to them. Good job. :)

Cheers,
Sioux

Hi Sizer freaks!

I've found a bug (if it's a bug) but i have to be sure in which
situation it appears.
It always bugs when i tweak the FXs and it makes the OS crash. But it
doesn't happen systematically when i change the parameters or the FXs
would be totaly useless.
It happened again yesterday when i was trying to experiment on how to
get ultra gritty dub-basslines.
Hopefully i saved the patch before tweaking the Fx because it's not
the first time i experience this.
I'll let you know

Moreno
