How simply edit Andy's CC MIDI messages in Logic?

How simply edit Andy's CC MIDI messages in Logic?

2004-07-13 by hyppomauve

Hello,

I recorded some knob movements inside Logic with my A6.
I noticed there are 4 different tracks created.
I was astonished. =8|
Actually, it's more 4 different kind of CCs in one single track.

I wanted to edit them to get exact movements that i want or simply
draw a straight line from 0 to wattever value.
But i couldn't really make the thing work. And wattever i watch at
any of them, they don't correspond at watt they should look like
(appart maybe one, but i tried it anyway).

As i said i'm using Logic.
Anyone has an answer?
Thx for your help.

HuHuuu... ok i found the solution.

I didn't realize i had to do this because my other synths have a
fixed CC for each parameter.

If i want to edit precise MIDI CC movements of the parameters via a
sequencer, i can:
- setup til 8 CCs (A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H) in the global menu > CC map...
- and then setup one of those CC maps as source in any Mod
- and finaly link it to a destination.

damn it's so easy
*feels proud anyway*

Hi hyppomauve, this is quite interesting as I have been trying to get around
the whole NRPN issue with the A6 myself.
I checked in the global menu > CC Map but it seems that you can only assign
CTLNUM to CC A-H, but even then what CC number is CTLNUM? Have you got this
to work?

Hi Larry,

I guess you mean you don't know how to set one of Andy's parameters
you want to tweak via one those CCs in the CCmap.

As i said before, first you go inside the global menus > CC maps.
There you set the CC number to each letter (A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H <- these
will be available as sources inside the modules) inside the map.
And finaly, to make it function, you need to link one of Andy's
parameters (ie: cutoff, resonance, LFOspeed,... wattever
available...) to one of those letters A,B,C,D,E,F,G or H in a MOD
window (press a MOD button) inside one of the Andy's modules.

I can't more clear. =;)
Is it this you were asking for?

Moreno
