Andromeda Panning

2004-05-03 by falabala66

Hello everybody...I am considering the purchase of an A^ andromeda and had a
question about panning..
I was wondering if you can autopan a6 voices to make them 'stereo"? I noticed that
the individual voice outputs were mono, and I was wondering if there was any
workaround to make autopanned stereo voices...The manual seems to imply that this
is possible, but I can't see how...Anyway, let me know if anyone knows this!
Cheers, Jeremy

--hallo, Jeremy

the individual outputs are mone and that's what they will stay.
you'd either need a mixer to make them stereo or do some really
difficult stuff like lowering the volume of tone one ( output1-left)
while increasing tone two (output2-right). but that maybe goes to far
for now.
however you still have two stereo ( mono and/or poly) outputs ,
namely aux and main.
i choose for 6 individual mono outputs plus two poly stereo outputs
for the rest of the voices. for me that's sufficient

Thank you for your response...So you're saying although the individual outs are
mono, anything coming out of the two pairs of stereo outputs can be modulated to
pan across the stereo field? If so that would be sufficient for me as well...

only when you take the same sound on both presets ! i guess
two buffers (in mix mode) , one sound becomes a decay of 2, the other
an attack of two....
guess it's just difficult, that why i suggested my prefered setup with
the aux channels.
on the other hand, could be made surround.
