ION Sound design

2003-02-18 by Colin Chung

I was actually offered a possibility of doing 64 patches for the ION
but, I had to pass that by, 2 weeks is just not long enough to do 64
patches.
For me anyway - to do a good job, and if I screwed up, then future chances
would not be present.

Otherwise I would have had a unit here in a couple weeks time :)

Dave Bruce told me that he maybe also going to make a full bank 128
patches.Maybe they sign up som the Andromeda owners to make patches
for Ion.
Also Like Rob Papen's sounds for Andromeda maybe he will do the same
for Ion.

Are you going to have Ion if it sound great(it do to me).

Looking at the specs, the Ion doesn't seem any special to me (of course, it
doesn't mean it won't sound great, if it does). But having a Supernova II
and (soon) Andromeda, I'm not looking forward to Ion's release.

What I'm expecting eagerly is the new synth from Elektron, Monomachine. As a
Machinedrum owner, I know it will be really unique (it may be crap, but it
will be unique crap).

Still waiting for my A6. Sigh.

K!

Well Alesis heard some of the stuff I did on the A6 so I guess
they liked them :)
