Hi Josh, Andy is surely able to do these kind of sounds imho. But if you need a synth just to do warm, thick, smooth pads and strings....mmmmmmmm...I think you have to buy a cheaper synth, not a monster like Andy...but if you really want a great sounding synth, with a warm and powerful sound so buy andromeda.
