Have you put the Waves Reverb as an insert on Bus 1 in the Logic audio mixer? This is the normal way of working with reverbs (= processor hungry). Then you choose Bus 1 as an effect send on audio track 1. Now you can move the fader of the Bus 1 to apply the right amount of reverb you want to have.
