Hi freaks,

once again I updated my OrCAd AVR library (should contain about 
every AVR now (except the 100-pinners (soon to be added) and the 
mega406))

The library is not only available at the usual place on my web pages 
(http://www.geocities.com/_wsw_  --> 'electronics" --> AVR), but I 
also created an entry ([b]"OrCAD AVR Library"[/b]) in the Academy 
where you can download.

As you might notice, most of the devices come in different housings 
and `flavours'. Some people prefer to have the ports sorted, some 
(mostly the ones doing their own layouts) prefer to see the real 
pinning of the chip. I hope I have something for everyone. Of course 
I can add your favourite view of the parts if you send it to me :-)

...btw - I forgot to mention:

The OrCAD library can get imported by several other EE CAD programs.
If you do such a conversion (other than for Protel99SE, which I have 
myself) please let me know. I can then put it up to the Academy too.

I don't use OrCAD, guessing I could download your library and load it 
into my old demo copy, but thought this might be a good thing to 
discuss in public:

For the popular 64 pin AVR pinouts what do you use for pad dimensions? 
In other words how wide and long are your pads, and how far apart side 
to side and all the way across the part?

Have found about 8 TQFP-64 footprints, most of which I believe will 
work, but the issue is how long should the pads stick out beyond the 
pin lead, and how far should they stick back under the part, and how 
wide do they need to be, all for good repeatable manufacturing?

...did some update today, corrected some glitches and added 
ATmega3250/6450/3290/6490.
The lib should be pretty complete by now (ok, ATmega406 is 
missing :^)

 I need the AVR Orcad Library wich you have developed.
 I visited your webpage and searched the AVRfreaks.com,
 There was two free libraries for eagles and protel there, but not an 
OLB.
 I would appreciate if you guide me.

my libraries (OrCad and Protel) can be found in the projects area of 
the academy on AVRfreaks:

Meanwhile there is annother library (Protel and Eagle) in the tools 
area but I've not had a look at it to comment about it.
